Sisse Canguilhem

Sisse Norman Canguilhem has been working for many years on sustainability, circularity, and the green transition in the construction sector. With 18 years of experience at the intersection of public affairs, international politics, and corporate strategy, she currently serves as Executive Vice President for Strategy and Development at the Danish Green Building Council.

With a background in economics and political science, she worked for about fifteen years as a diplomat for Denmark, particularly at the United Nations in Geneva. She now advises public and private project owners, investors, and municipalities on their energy and circular transitions. She is also a member of the board of Circle Economy, a European organization committed to the circular economy.

The guiding thread throughout her career has been the creation of clear governance frameworks, the structuring of stakeholder dialogue, and the ability to translate ambitions into concrete decisions.

In 2025, she was appointed Chair of the Belle-Terre Project Expert Panel (Geneva). In this role, she helps provide strategic direction for this ambitious project, aligning the priorities of those responsible and ensuring the cross-functional vision essential for its coherence.

She is also committed to creating a clear and collaborative working framework, transforming ambitions into shared decisions. Her approach emphasizes coordination, dialogue, and the integration of urban, social, and environmental considerations.
