Aristide Athanassiadis

Aristide is a senior researcher at the Ecole Polytechnique Fédérale de Lausanne (HERUS) and at the Metabolism of Cities association. From 2018 to 2020, he was co-holder of the Chair of Circular Economy and Urban Metabolism at the Free University of Brussels. In recent years, he has collaborated and worked with and for several universities, research centers, environmental administrations, NGOs, youth organizations and consulting firms on a wide variety of projects aimed at reducing the environmental footprint of territories. Finally, Aristide is the co-founder of Metabolism of Cities, a global network of people working together to systematically reduce the net environmental impacts of cities and territories in a socially just and context-specific way (www.metabolismofcities.org)
